Thanks to my LinkedIn profile, I was reminded of my 7-year work anniversary.
As it turns out, I’ve been blogging for 7 years now! I truly feel I’ve found my calling, and I often say that I have the best job in the world.
To quote Confucius: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
I couldn’t agree more with this. When I turned 30, I realized I wasn’t finding this level of joy in my chosen career.
Can you relate to this kind of job un-satisfaction?
Now that I’m 40, I’m realizing how precious my time truly is. Life is way too short to be doing a job that you hate.
Change is scary, but I’m glad I made the huge career leap 7 years ago.
For anyone who is reading this and drowning in a dead career, I encourage you to make a change. Follow your bliss – that niggling feeling is trying to guide you.
Ok, maybe not in meth. But take this as a sign to break free from a joyless job.
